Electrolysis
I have had great success with Electrolysis, removing many embarrassing hair problems for clients and changed their lives. I have references from clients who have been successfully treated.
What is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is the only medically approved form of permanent hair removal and has the longest known track record together with the most effective results for hair removal.
The advantage of electrolysis is that after treatment, the hair germ cells at the base of the hair follicle are permanently destroyed, so the hair is unable to grow back. |

Electrolysis Treatment
Electrolysis is performed by inserting an incredibly fine probe into the hair follicle. The electrolysis machine then sends a tiny amount of electrical current which through a combination of heat and chemical reaction, (The Blend) to destroy the base of the hair follicle (pore) and prevent regrowth.
Advantages of Electrolysis Treatment compared to other hair removal methods:
- It is less expensive than IPL or laser
- It causes permanent destruction of the hair follicle, so results are excellent
- It can be used on fine hair
- Effective on light coloured hair
- Ideal for facial hair e.g. top lip, chin, awkward hair on moles
- Suitable for sensitive areas
- It is suitable for every skin colour
Disadvantages of Electrolysis Treatment:
- Treatment tackles a hair follicle at a time, so can be slow
- Treatment needs to be repeated in a course in order to tackle each follicle at the correct stage in its growth cycle
For larger areas, you may consider laser or waxing.
During your free consultation, we will discuss suitable treatment and a course of action. Treatment is available for any unwanted hair on the face, stomach, nipples, even backs etc. Treatment is available for men and women
What does it feel like?
Whether there is any discomfort during electrolysis is highly individual depending on the client’s tolerance. During the treatment a definite sensation might be noticed. It has been described as a “slight heat”, “tingling”, or a “stinging” sensation. Your comfort is one of the main priorities of treatment, and this office is committed to making your experience as pleasant as possible.
How often will I need treatment?
The number of treatments will depend on each person upon free consultation. The quantity and coarseness of hair to be removed
- The type of hair you have - straight, wavy, or curly
- What temporary methods of hair removal you have previously tried
- The type of skin you have - normal, fine or super-sensitive
- Your metabolic rate - how quickly your skin heals and how fast your hair regrows
- The location of the hair (some areas must be treated more slowly than others)
- The cause of your hair growth
