Micropigmentation

Permanent Eyeliner and Eyebrow
Enhancement (or Micropigmentation)

Micro pigmentation, also known as permanent makeup, for enhancing facial features such as eyebrows lashes eyelines. It improves conditions like scarring and uneven pigment in skin.

Micropigmentation is long-lasting, but we wouldn’t call it a make-up. Make-up is still up to every woman individually. A glamorous make-up can still be worn or a fresh and natural look to suit. Micropigmentation simply builds the foundation for looking perfect without looking made-up.

The Micro Pigmentation Procedure

Since the surface layer of the skin (epidermis) continually undergoes a natural exfoliation process, the colour is tattooed on both the surface skin layer and the skin layer below (dermis layer). A topical anaesthetic is applied before and after treatment to reduce discomfort.

Tiny, metabolically inert pigment granules are implanted below the epidermis. You can discuss the lightness and darkness options with me. Typically, clients use a lighter colour and return for additional treatment to darken the colour if needed.

After Treatment

After the procedure, cool ice packs can be applied to reduce discomfort. Sun protection is important after treatment.

If you have a history of cold sores, your doctor can prescribe medication to prevent a reaction.

Always remember to advise any doctor throughout your lifetime that you have had the micro pigmentation procedure. There are precautions and possible restrictions if you are considering cosmetic surgery or laser resurfacing.

Here are 10 reasons to get micro pigmentation:
  • Convenience: Saving up to 100 hours a year in makeup application.
  • Non-Allergic: Certain skin types are easily irritated by traditional makeup.
  • Application Ease: People with medical conditions such as arthritis have difficulty applying makeup.
  • No More Smears: Micro pigmentation resolves the smear problem.
  • Aging Changes: Micro pigmentation can enhance the positives and mask the negatives. It is commonly used for uneven lip lines and discoloration areas of the skin.
  • Tearing Eyes or Irritated Eyes: contact lenses, and excessive time spent in front of a computer screen, can all create reasons for micro pigmentation.
  • The Outdoors: It can be tough to manage makeup application if you spend much time outdoors, whether you're an athlete or simply have an active lifestyle.
  • The Natural Look: Micro pigmentation offers the "natural woman" look.
  • Hair Loss: People who have suffered from hair loss have benefited from micro pigmentation for eyebrows, sideburns, and the hair line.

Does Micropigmentation hurt?

Anesthetic agents are used before and during the procedures for comfort. Most clients report minimal discomfort.

Is permanent eyeliner and eyebrow enhancement more or less effective with certain skin types and ethnicities?

The age, health and undertone of a clients skin are all very important factors to take into consideration before proceeding with a permanent cosmetic procedure.
